Tor Clausen lives in Olympia Washington, where his woodshop inhabits a section of an old sewing warehouse. His very musical mother grew up in Copenhagen in an inventors studio. Her family had the first patent for pinned name tags and sold them throughout Europe. Tor's father has a degree in Economics and years of woodworking experience - not the least of which was the construction of the Clausen family home in Seattle.

Graduating from the Evergreen State College with a degree in Natural Sciences and Design, Tor worked as a Graphic Designer while designing furniture on the side.

His Olympia home has handcrafted instruments in every room, drawing many musically talented visitors. From these surroundings, his designs began to take shape. While not having an official show room, Tor is always welcoming people to visit his home or shop....
