I call Portland, Oregon home. My woodshop inhabits a metal building atop a huge warehouse along the shoreline of the Willamette river. In the early 1990s, my musical furniture designs began to sell well at juried museum shows up and down the west coast. Since then, the designs have morphed into elaborate technical pieces incorporating many forms of musical instruments and methods to interact with them.
This body of work is now found in science museums, hospital gardens, childrens museums, businesses, theaters, and city parks around the world.
Graduating from the Evergreen State College with a degree in natural sciences and design, I work in other creative ventures as well, photography being one of them: TorStudios.com
